Kingfisher Ultra presents 'The Golden Manor Medicine Show' (UK) live at Opus (Palace Cross), 13th March, 9 pm onwards:
The Golden Manor Medicine Show is made up of Jules Fuller, Neil Webster, Adam Adler and Ali Hawkins. The band is dedicated to the idea of setting up juke joint nights where people get together, drink heartily and heavily while the band plays on.
They kick up a storming party, including the music of The Band, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, The Rolling Stones, The Felice Brothers and Josh Ritter, along with their own songs. It’s new/old, hard hitting, country rock folk blues honk. The Golden Manor Medicine Show is unchallenged as London's hottest Country / Americana / Roadhouse group.
Jules Fuller (bass, double bass, vocals) has spent many years in India, originally running Channel [V] in the late 90s. The Channel [V] road shows and concerts in Bangalore are still some of the best memories, although he does admit that other times are a bit of a blur. He also returned to India to launch Pogo a few years back. He now works in London as Executive Producer at Endemol UK.
Neil Webster (lead guitar, mandolin, vocals) has been one of the tallest figures on the London live circuit for over 20 years. When not recording and performing with the band, Neil is one of the Creative Directors of a comedy television production company. Working with jokers all day stands him in good stead for his time with the band.
Adam Adler (guitar, vocals) is an executive at Objective Productions in London and recently created and exec produced a new show called The Cube.
Ali Hawkins (Drums, kazoo, vocal) spent many years working at Chrysalis Music, before moving in to the world of fine wine. He and Neil have played together for many years.
